Utilising Facebook for Business

Content Strategy

Anyone can post content on Facebook but it doesn't always have an impact, developing a social media content strategy will help you understand and reach your business goals and objectives. Our advice is to take some time, away from your busy day; close the door, sit down with a piece of paper and start answering the following questions:

  1. Why do you want to use social media?
  2. What do you want from social media?
  3. Where do you see your profiles in 6 months time?
  4. What products or services do you want to promote?
  5. What topics would you like to discuss weekly?

Content Calendar

Before you dive into your content plan, do a quick search online and take note of any events, news and stories relevant to the industry you work in. Then quickly write down recent business news for example, someone's birthday, a new service or a client testimonial.

Once you have jotted down exactly what you want to share, open up an excel spreadsheet and start turning your notes into content, follow a template with the month, date and day to help you schedule content appropriately. It's easy to follow and a great way of saving content every month to keep track of your content plans.

Schedule your Content

Once you write your content for the month you can schedule it all in one go, to save you from posting every day. Schedule all posts in Facebook as shown below:
